SFAA’s Diversity Initiatives Include:
The SFAA Foundation is a charitable 501(c)(3) organization founded to increase diversity within the surety and fidelity industry. SFAA created this organization to fund and administer the Surety and Fidelity Intern and Scholarship Program, as well as develop and implement new educational and public service program initiatives.
The Diversity and Human Resources and Advisory Committee (DHRAC)
Created in May 2012, the Diversity and Human Resources Committee (DHRAC) serves to identify, discuss and establish solutions to diversity-related issues in the industry as well as increase the number of minority and women surety and fidelity professionals in the industry.
Contractor Bonding Education and Mentoring Program
The Contractor Bonding Education and Mentoring Program, formerly known as the Model Contractor Development Program, helps new and minority contractors learn how to become bonded and provides additional coaching through a mentoring program with SFAA and the National Association of Surety Bond Producers (NASBP).
2022 Scholarship Recipients Announced
On Oct. 19, 2022, SFAA announced the 15 students who have been selected as recipients of a $5,000 scholarship as part of the Surety and Fidelity Intern & Scholarship Program for 2022. Read the full press release.
